Congratulations on your decision to marry!
Now you face what may seem like a mountain of decisions about the wedding:
For a wedding my services include:
An authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant
, I am committed to providing an excellent standard of
professonalism; both when designing and performing services.
I abide by the
Code of Practice
as set out by the Federal Attorney Generals Department,
am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and welcome
feedback.
No matter what type, style or size of service, I will assist you to plan a ceremony that reflects your ideas and will be meaningful to you
Travel within 40 minutes of my home in Northgate (8 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD) is covered in my regular fee and outside of this can be negotiated for a small extra charge.
Some other ideas that require consideration include:
The time of year will certainly rule where the ceremony can take place. Think about the weather during the time of year you decide on. Remember that even if you decide on a summer or spring wedding the skies may open into a downpour of rain only during the time you wanted for your ceremony and photos. And if it's hot your guests will wilt like flowers as they will be at the location for a considerable time!
Will there be only 4 present or 400?
You have to have 2 witnesses over the age of 18 to legally marry but do you have children from either this or a previous relationship you would love to include in the ceremony? Just because you have to have 2 witnesses doesn't mean they have to be the main attendents.
There are so many beautiful locations such as parks and gardens, the beach, or even your own home. If you have a reception many reception venues have magnificent surroundings and will allow you to use their facilities. Remember that gardens change over the seasons. If you love roses and chose a rose garden during June they will just have been pruned and look dismal! .
Suits with waistcoats and ties look so dashing but how will the men feel
if the temperature is 43? And the beautiful bride also - if the gown is strapless
and you feel the cold what backup do you have? A blanket thrown around your
shoulders may stop the cold but it doesn't look great in photos!
And these are just the tip of the iceberg!
Start by working out a budget and stick to it. You can spend as little or as much as you want on your wedding but at the end of the day no matter how large the final bill you will have had a wonderful wedding. I hope that I can help you in a small way to attain your goal.
