“We’ve always balanced tradition with innovation” says head designer Pat Georgiou. “Each collection evolves with the times while staying true to our DNA – ensuring our brides feel both modern and timeless.”
Breaking down the process down to avoid soon-to-be-brides feeling overwhelmed, the team at Alexis George encourage clients to try on alternating styles, necklines, fabrics, veils, and trains to ensure each bride leaves their atelier knowing exactly what feels right for her. The Alexis George atelier has been home to countless memories. From tears of joy, and mothers reliving their own special day, to moments of pure wonder as the bride sees herself in the gown for the first time. For the designer, one such memory stands the true test of time, with a young girl and a decades old business card. “Many years later, a little girl I’d given a business card to came in with the card I had given her 20 years before to have her wedding dress made.” says the designer. “The influence that card must have had for her to keep it so long is heart-warming.”
